This video was produced by an American manufacturer to demonstrate the effectiveness of a hose sock restraint versus a whip check. An electronically activated release mechanism was used to simulate a failed connection or hose in each case - watch the video - if you still use whip checks, I am sure you will be convinced to make the change!
